Six Summertime Destinations on This Week’s State of Greater Western New York Report – July 1, 2021
Ahh, the fresh summer breeze of the Greater Western New York region. Close your eyes and you can just smell those wildflowers, can’t you?
This week features Chris Clemens of the Exploring Upstate blog. He’s here to show his six favorite Greater Western New Your sites. Admittedly, it was a difficult choice for him, but you’ll be amazed by the splendor that’s not more than an hour or so from where you live. During the first half of the show, Chris explores Hurd Orchard, the oldest farm in the region now being run by the 8th generation of the original family, Lily Dale and the Burnt-Over District, before finally taking us to the Windmill in Pen Yan.
In the latter half of the show, Chris tells us the story behind a real burned over area just outside of Bath called Mossy Bank Park. Next, he talks about the beauty of our small town and village main streets, highlighted by a picture of Corning in the winter. Finally, he spotlights Griffis Sculpture Park near Ellicottville.
Our guest happily answered questions from the live audience. Would you like to be a member of our live audience so you can ask our guests questions?
