What was the impetus this Spring for the sudden interest in school board elections across the Greater Western New York Region (and beyond)? Click the link below to find out on this week’s episode of The State of Greater Western New York Report:

This week our guests are Nancie Orticelli of the Constitutional Coalition of New York State and Cherie Stuhler of Fight for Your Family. Orticelli worked with groups promoting the successful campaigns of Mark Kless for the Pioneer School District race and James Michalek for the Iroquois district (and quite a few others). Stuhler’s covered promoted several campaigns within Monroe County, including newly elected Greece School Board member Mark Buonaugurio successful run. All three of these school board candidates will keynote the Summer 2022 Greater Western New York Town Hall meeting on August 3rd beginning at 7:30 pm. Would you like to attend this free event? In the first half of the show, both guests gave a background of their interest in school board elections and how their groups evolved over time regarding this year’s elections.

In the second half of the show, the guests explored the specifics of the campaigns they were familiar with and explained how citizens can more proactively engage with their own school boards.

All our guests happily answered questions from the live audience. In fact, these are probably some of the same questions you had.
