Bobbie Anne Cox Explains Her Victory Over Tyranny In New York State (And The State’s Response)

Several months ago, we had a guest who was about to argue a case against the State of New York’s regulation to unilateral detain without due process people it considered a “health threat.” How did that turn out? Click the link below for this week’s episode of The State of Greater Western New York Report and what it felt like to beat tyranny – and tyranny’s response.

Bobbie Anne Cox represents Uniting NYS. She spoke to us last June about a case she was arguing on behalf of New York State citizens against the New York State Health Department regulation allowing it to detain citizens it deemed to be a health hazard. Word came in July that she had won the case. In the first half of today’s show, Cox explains how the case unfolded, its turning point, and her feeling upon hearing a positive verdict. She also revealed the State’s response and why the Governor and the Attorney General might not want everyone to know of that response until after the election

In the show’s extended second half, Cox discusses similar rulings by the United States Supreme Court on the Federal level. The discussion then got into the strategy and “game theory” elements at play in bad actors who ignore the law and the constitution (whether State or Federal), how there is little downside risk to such a strategy, and what may or may be done about it.

Our guest happily answered questions from the live audience. In fact, these are probably some of the same questions you had.
