Erie County Restaurant Owner & Hamburg Resident Jimmy Butera Reveals What Albany Told Him About Gas Appliance Ban
You might think Albany politicians are full of hot air, but did you know they’re seriously considering a ban on natural gas appliances? This will hit certain businesses hard, most particularly the restaurant industry. More important to you, what does this mean to homeowners? Click the link below for this week’s episode of The State of Greater Western New York Report to discover how a natural gas appliance ban will jeopardize your health, your safety, and even national security and why it will fail to address the issue it seeks to address.
Jimmy Butera is a leader in the New York State Restaurant Industry. Besides owning his own restaurant, (Butera’s, in the Town of Hamburg in Erie County), he also serves as an officer in the New York State Restaurant Association. Having grown up in the food service and hospitality industry, he knows a thing or two about the equipment needed to feed lots of people in a safe, quick, and efficient manner. He explains how the proposed ban on natural gas appliances can harm each of these objectives in the first half of the show.
In the show’s second half, Butera tells us what he was told by elected officials when he went to Albany to bring these issues up. He also gives guidance on what this means to homeowners who correctly use gas appliances to cook their family meals.
