Ryan McCormick of Goldman McCormick public relations has spent years guiding others in the world of media relations. In the show’s first segment, he explains the importance of developing a process before taking action. Once you’ve got that done, he offers a simple-to-implement suggestion on how you can get interviewed by the media. He gives examples both in the business world and in the non-profit arena.
In the second half of the show, McCormick explores newsletters and building mailing lists. He then takes on crisis management, both how to avoid getting into trouble and what to do no matter the size of your organization. He contrasts how you handle a national crisis and how you handle one limited just to your small community.
