Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum President Otto Vondak On The 2023 Train Ride Schedule

Is there anything more relaxing than riding the rails? Can you picture yourself aboard the steady sound of a moving train as it glides across the bucolic scenery of the Greater Western New York Region? Click the link below for this week’s episode of The State of Greater Western New York Report and discover the real railroad adventures that await you this summer.

Otto Vondrak came from downstate to learn graphic arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology. When his midwest employer offered him the opportunity to return to the Greater Western New York Region, he jumped at the chance. In the first half of the show, Vondrak explains this journey and how it led him to his role as President of the Rochester & Genesee Vally Railroad Museum. He also tells us a bit about the history of the museum and how the volunteers shaped it into what it is today.

In the show’s second half, Vondrak outlines the 2023 train ride schedule for the museum and what you expect to see when you visit.

Our guest happily answered questions from the live audience. In fact, these are probably some of the same questions you had.
