Keels & Wheels Event Celebrates Wayne County Bicentennial

Ah, the summer. What’s warm weather without classic cars? How about drifting lazily in a boat on a lake? What if you combine the best of both worlds? Click the link below for this week’s episode of The State of Greater Western New York Report and see how Wayne County is doing just that at yet another event to celebrate its bicentennial.

Steve Heald, past historian for the Town of Sodus and member of the Wayne County Bicentennial Committee, joins the show today as he talks about the combined historic car and boat show at the Sodus Yacht Club.

In the first segment of the show, Heald lets us in on the goings on this year with the Wayne County Bicentennial. He then gives us a sneak peek at some of the cars that will be at the show.

During the show’s second half, Heald explains how to get to the event, including where to park and what happens if it rains. While some of the cars may be at risk should wet weather arrive, the same can’t be said of the boats. They’re not afraid of the water.

Our guest happily answered questions from the live audience. In fact, these are probably some of the same questions you had.
